Climate Change is the biggest issue facing our planet and manufacturing businesses that adapt and lower their carbon footprint are becoming more relevant to increasingly aware consumers.

At The Chamber’s first Manufacturers’ Leaders Network event for 2020, network members will hear the journey farming co-operative Ravensdown has been on to tackle sustainability and climate change issues.

Ravensdown Sustainability Manager Allanah Kidd will speak about the sustainability framework the company is putting in place to help farmers, and the business itself, reduce their environmental impact – while still operating efficiently to optimise value from the land.

She will also talk about the Climate Leaders Coalition, which Ravensdown has signed up to, that launched in July 2018 to promote business leadership and collective action on the issue of Climate Change. On a mission to reduce emissions in Aotearoa, 118 Chief Executives have so far signed the original joint statement, which commits their organisations to take voluntary action on climate change and look to push legislation to back it.

Allanah will share why Ravensdown joined the Coalition and the benefits it is bringing to their business – inspiring you to think about you own goals around sustainability. You will then have the opportunity to ask her questions.

The session will be followed by drinks, nibbles and networking with your peers.

We look forward to seeing you there!
