Member's Forum: Understanding the state of leadership in the South Island
Understanding the state of leadership in the South Island - a Forum for our Members.
The Sheffield Leadership Survey (SLS) is an annual survey that investigates the state of Leadership specific to the South Island. Looking at the issues and challenges leaders are facing, the latest survey looked specifically at “Leaders under 50”. The results provide a unique insight into the workings of high-performing leaders and their organisations. To our knowledge, no piece of research like this has been undertaken before in the South Island. This presentation gives The Manufacturers' Network members the chance to be some of the first to see and discuss the results.
At this session the survey’s key findings will be presented and implications for the manufacturing sector discussed. In particular there will be a focus on two areas – what leadership skills are needed (and how best to develop them) and how to manage an ever increasingly multi-generational workforce.
